SKECHERS Friendship Walk

The annual Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk rallies thousands every October for a fun-filled celebration at the beach, where families and friends gather to walk from Manhattan Beach Pier to Hermosa Beach Pier and back in support of one common purpose; to support children with disabilities and public education. The walk is produced by Skechers and The Friendship Foundation. Through donations, The Friendship Foundation can assist children with disabilities and their families through one-on-one peer mentoring and social recreational activities. Funds raised also supports 6 Education Foundations in the South Bay District.

History Of The Walk

Founded in 2010 by the Greenberg family, The Skechers Foundation exists to strengthen communities all over the world, through our greatest asset: children. SKECHERS invests in The Friendship Foundation because we are dedicated to embracing individuals with special needs, improving education and empowering disadvantaged youth. SKECHERS goal is simply to inspire and support individuals to make a valiant effort in creating community. Since 2009, the Pier-to-Pier Walk has raised more than $18 million to support the Friendship Foundation and public education.
